Keeping track

Tracey Andrews just celebrated eighteen years in business as Paper Trails Bookkeeping. “The desire to be independent overrode the desire to work for someone else,” she said about being her own boss. “A big part of being an entrepreneur is being able to manage my own schedule around my life instead of the other way around.” Andrews’ clients are small- to medium-sized businesses that are in a position where they can’t or don’t want to do their own books, but are not ready for a full-time bookkeeper. “I pick up and deliver paperwork from their location. It is convenient for everyone that way. I get to work from home and they don’t have to give me office space.” Andrews using Simply Accounting software and provides weekly, monthly and quarterly services to her clients from West Kelowna to Lake Country. “The last five years have been great. The diversity of my clients is amazing; from retail to legal to construction and I get to learn about their businesses.” Tracey can be reached by emailing papertrails@shaw.ca or by calling 778-477-1970.

Being Self-Employed and somewhat of a perfectionist (lol), it took me a while to realize I could not do all my bookkeeping and still run my business. I am angry at myself for not making that discovery sooner. Working with Tracey and Papertrails is a blessing. I found a company that not only is as detailed oriented as myself, but trustworthy as well.
